Who We Are
Ken Mackay works in a proffessional capacity with wildlife prevention and conflict with over 25 years in the field of Resource Management. Bear Management is a focus of his current district and he deals first hand with wildlife and human conflict. His job takes him from land owners to the classroom. Ken tries to educate others before conflicts arise between people and bears. He has worked as a hunting guide and presently is an avid outdoorsman.
Jay Honeyman has spent the last 20 years working with bears and people. He worked for 17 years as a Park Ranger/Conservation Officer in Kananaskis Country, a multi use recreation area in the Rocky Mountains west of Calgary, Alberta. He has spent the last five years working as a bear conflict specialist with the Wind River Bear
Institute, assisting wildlife management agencies in Alberta and
Montana with grizzly bear conflict issues. He continues to work with government agencies, educating the publicand researching issues pertaining to bear human conflict.
